Brenda Tate

Director of Finance


Mrs. Tate is the Director of Finance at RCA. She has over 15 years of experience in this line of work. She attended Baptist School of Nursing; Shelby State; Sea Isle Nursing and received her BSN and is currently a licensed Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) for Fayette County. She also attended State Tech and Southwest Community College where she studied Computer Programming and Early Childhood Education. This past year she was a student at UT where she was studying Business Administration and Business Management. Mrs. Tate has taught 5th and 6th grade Reading and Writing and was the Director of Coordinated School Health. She is a Wife, Mother of two sons, Grams, Sister, Aunt and Caregiver to her special needs brother. Mrs. Tate loves her family and says that they are a priority to her. God gave her the gift of family and she is thankful for them every day. She loves to read, write, paint, build, do crafts, crochet, take walks and meditate on her back porch over looking the lake. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. Her second favorite is 1 Timothy 4:14. She says we all have a gift that was given to us and we should not neglect it. Her philosophy of teaching is best quoted by Dr. Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Mrs. Tate is grateful that God planted her feet here at Rossville Christian Academy and cannot wait to see how she will grow in this new adventure.


 
 

Charlie Crunk

School Counselor

Charlie Crunk holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Lambuth University where she played collegiate basketball, and was a scholar athlete all four years. Charlie is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Education through Freed-Hardeman University. This will be Charlie’s 25th year as an educator, and her 5th year here at RCA where she serves as the School Counselor. Charlie has taught all ages from JrK-12th grade in different areas of school that include Art, Physical Education, Wellness, and Yearbook Adviser. In addition, Charlie has served in the administrative position of Lower, Middle and High School Athletic Director. Many people refer to her as Coach Crunk because she has over 20 years of varsity coaching experience that includes Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Tennis. She currently coaches competitive volleyball for Memphis Junior Volleyball Association.

Mrs. Crunk has been married to her husband, Jim, for 25 years. They have 3 children, Kelsey is a current senior at Mississippi State University, JD is a Freshman at the University of Memphis, and a 2019 RCA Graduate and Kara is a freshman in high School.

One of Charlie’s favorite life verses is Proverbs 16:9, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” In her spare time, Charlie loves to spend time at the lake and/or beach with her family, and cheer on the Memphis Tigers basketball team!

Christina Dodge

Director of Technology 

Christina has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education Grades 1-8. She taught 2nd and 3rd grades for 12 years then transitioned into teaching computer classes and providing tech support. She is currently on her 26th year in education. Christina has been married for 26 years to Craig and has a 21 year old daughter who attends the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She enjoys working out in her free time and leading the RCA Pack Adventures High School Group to Europe each year during Spring Break. Her favorite verse is Phil 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".


 
 

Jennifer Bailey

Elementary Office Assistant/Softball Coach

Jennifer joined RCA in August of 2010. She is our Elementary Office Assistant and Varsity Softball Coach. Jennifer has also taught Elementary PE since 2010. Jennifer has been married to Troy for 20 years and they have a daughter, Annie Clare, that is in the 8th grade here at RCA. Annie Clare has attended RCA since Pre-K. Jennifer and her family are members of First Baptist Church Hickory Withe. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, swimming, and anything outdoors.

Melanie Morgan

Administrative Assistant

Melanie attended the University of Memphis where she studied education. She has worked at RCA as the Administrative Assistant for 7 years. Melanie enjoys interacting with the parents and students. She loves the smiles on all the RCA student's faces. The students call her “Ms. Mel.” She has two daughters, Macy and Sophie. Macy and Sophie are RCA alumni, and they love RCA, too. Melanie enjoys traveling, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her family. Her favorite Bible verse is: Philippians 4:6-9.


 

Sarah Schwalb

Director of Development

Mrs. Schwalb is beginning her fifth year as 11th and 12th grade English teacher at Rossville Christian Academy. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Schwalb is assuming a new role as Director of Development. In this role, Mrs. Schwalb will work to promote RCA, form business partnerships, enrich the culture at RCA, and aid in student recruitment.

Steve Vincent

Athletic Director

Steve graduated from Crichton College in 1997 with a degree in Secondary Education, and has been in school or church education/ministry for 20+ years. This is Steve's 3rd year at Rossville as Bible teacher and varsity girls basketball coach, and 2nd year as Athletic Director. Steve, and his wife, Betsy, have been married for 21 years and have two children who both attend Rossville. As a life-long Memphian, Steve bleeds Tiger blue, enjoys rooting on the Grizzlies, and loves everything 901 - food, music, culture, diversity! His hobbies include any activity with the family and all thing fitness related, especially CrossFit and F45! Steve's favorite Scripture verse and topic for class is discussing the great exchange described in II Corinthians 5:21, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God".
