Senior Kindergarten/First Grade Admission
Rossville Christian Academy wants all children to flourish in their educational environment. A great experience for a child in kindergarten sets him or her on the right path for their entire educational career! However, students must be ready scholastically and mentally, and have reached important developmental milestones that prepare them emotionally to have the necessary social skills for a challenging kindergarten program such as the one at Rossville Christian Academy.
Procedure for acceptance for initial Jr. Kindergarten or Senior Kindergarten or First Grade applications:
All Jr. Kindergarten students must be four (4) years old on or before June 1st and must be fully toilet-trained.
All Senior kindergarten students must be five (5) years old on or before June 1st and must be fully toilet trained.
All first grade students must be six (6) years old on or before August 30.
All applicants will be interviewed by the Director of Education and evaluated for kindergarten/first grade readiness.
Parents must complete an enrollment application, provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate and health records recorded on a Tennessee Child Health Record (including current immunizations and certification of a physical by the child’s physician).
Upon acceptance a contract MUST be signed and a payment plan selected.

For many families, we understand that the choice to send your child(ren) to an independent school requires a sacrificial commitment to invest in your child’s education. Because of that, we offer financial aid, in the form of a tuition discount, to those who qualify based on financial need. There are no athletic or merit based scholarships. Financial need is determined by an evaluation through FACTS, a third party organization that assists schools in collecting financial data to help determine aid qualification. Factors such as household income and expenses, assets and debt, and the number of attending children are all considerations in determining awarded aid. All financial aid award decisions are made by the school’s Administration/Board of Directors.
Parents are required to submit an online application through FACTS that includes documentation of items such as W-2’s and tax returns. All aid is awarded on the basis of financial need as demonstrated through the FACTS report; however, the RCA Administration/Board of Directors, not FACTS, makes the final decision on aid amount. After the report of qualification for assistance is received from FACTS, financial aid is awarded according to a predetermined percentage.
Applications for financial aid must be completed yearly; aid amounts may change year to year; the amount of aid a family receives for one school year does not guarantee the same amount in subsequent school years.
In order to be eligible to receive financial aid, a student must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA at Rossville Christian Academy.
RCA is committed to protecting the privacy of its families; therefore, all information received by the Business Office is held in the strictest confidence.
Parents can complete the application for financial aid by visiting: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3VWVM. After all necessary documents have been submitted, the approval process may take 2-4 weeks.
